Massage Therapy

Cynthia is a licensed massage therapist.  Massage therapy is a field that called to her for many years before she felt the time was right and became licensed. She says simply putting your hands on someone can be enough to calm the nervous system and allow them to begin to relax and heal. Anyone can do that for another. She considers massage therapy a gift she can offer. Massage isn’t capable of curing any serious or life threatening medical disorders – but it can provide welcome relief from the symptoms of anxiety, tension, depression, insomnia, and stress, as well as back pain, headache, muscle pain and some forms of chronic pain.  Regular massage strengthens and tones the entire body system. It can stimulate or alternately calm the nervous system, help to ease tension, stiffness and pain leaving the recipient with an enhanced sense of well-being.

Although Cynthia is trained in a variety of massage techniques and sees regular clients, a type of massage that she feels very passionate about is The Arvigo® Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy. This therapy is founded on an ancient Maya technique of a non-invasive, external abdominal massage. Arvigo® Therapy stimulates circulation and blood flow within the abdominal area, supporting the body for optimal function of digestive and reproductive health and wellness. It is a therapy that can be applied throughout every stage of a woman, man or child’s life.
