We are a family of adventurers and want to share our life with others who are walking along a similar path. We are all based out of Orlando Florida with the exception of Eliot, who is in Colorado. Some of the services the members of Easy Living Five offer are kayak tours and rentals, snowboarding and ski lessons (Colorado), massage therapy, childbirth doula services, childbirth education, midwifery, and lactation services, prenatal yoga classes, and guidance on transitioning to a vegan diet. Let us know what we can do for you!
We love travel, adventure, health, gardening, kayaking and learning every day. Our daughter Sadie has recently completed Midwifery School and is now a Licensed Midwife in the state of Florida. Eliot is living in Winter Park, Colorado teaching snow boarding lessons by day and bartending by night. Julian and Liz bought a house this year and are loving it with their two darling children, Hudson (4yo) and Paisley (18mo). Liz teaches prenatal yoga and does education on eating a vegan diet. She also is a hair dresser and has a private business operating out of her home.
For Joe and Cynthia, they started a new tradition in 2019 of going away for a month each fall in their travel trailer (rpod). For 2020 they bounced around Arkansas’s State Parks. Arkansas takes a lot of pride in their state and it is full of wonders to be explored. They/we started our trip in the middle of the state at Lake Catherine State Park near Hot Springs. Lake Catherine State Park is rather small and quaint and has a number of beautiful hikes along streams and water falls. Next we went all the way north (just a three hour drive) and drove back roads with amazing vista’s all around. While in the north, which were the Ozarks, we did more hiking along breath taking cliffs and went to Lost Valley where we were told you could see elk, and we saw them! Before seeing them we could hear the most beautiful sound and couldn’t figure out what it was; then we spotted the elk and realized it was the bull bugling for his harem. We visited five State Parks while there and felt like we had a good feel for Arkansas. It is definitely a state worth visiting if you like nature. On the way back to Florida we spent 3 nights in the Florida Pan Handle and were once again amazed at the beauty of our state. We really enjoy living on the road and having our rpod to call home. It has just the right amount of space for the two of us and we end up spending lots of time outdoors. We have taken our dog (now 11 year old husky/sheppard mix) on every trip and he travels very well.
In fall of 2019 our month long trip was across the country for Joe and I to see some of the beautiful National Parks America has! We have a 20′ pull behind travel trailer that we took with us, so we had our ‘tiny home’ everywhere we went. We were blown away by the beauty this country has to offer. We went from the Badlands in South Dakota, to Yellowstone, Zion, Bryce, and Arches. A month was a good amount of time but we could have spent more exploring and hiking these places. While in Yellowstone we spent time with our youngest son, Eliot, whom was there working on a six month gig. Now he is off to Steamboat Springs, Colorado on another working gig and planning to snow board through the winter.
Our family shares a variety of interests and have all had various travel experiences. We have traveled independently and as a family to most of the continents and have spent up to two months abroad at a time. We planted the travel bug seed in the children at a young age and they continue to be world explorers and adventurer seekers. Please look around our Easy Living Five website and join us along our journey at some point!
